Introduction
Bisphenol A (BPA) is a chemical used in some raw materials in the manufacturing of plastic products. The Journal of the American Medical Association reported that high levels of BPA can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and liver abnormalities. There are however still standards that allow for certain levels of BPA in plastics.
